Using a bone densitrometrity, osteoporosis can be diagnosed in menopausal women or those undergoing corticosteroid therapies. This test uses a specific x-ray machine (DEXA-densitometer). In some cases an additional image of the vertebrae will be taken in order to detect a possible fracture and to prescribe the most adequate treatment.
