Green Europe

For several years now, Europe Hospitals has made sustainable development a priority. In 2022, this approach took shape with the creation of the Green Europe Committee, bringing together around twenty employees from various departments to implement concrete and measurable actions.

The Green Europe Committee is here to listen to your ideas and help the initiative grow.

ROLES

  • As a facilitator, the Green Europe Committee promotes eco-responsible initiatives and coordinates collaboration between departments to integrate sustainability into hospital activities.
  • As the spokesperson for sustainability within the hospital, the Green Europe Committee communicates the committee's objectives and results, promoting sustainable actions to employees, patients and the public. It represents the hospital in external networks related to sustainability, reinforcing its image as a committed player in the ecological transition.
  • As a cross-functional committee, the Green Europe Committee ensures that sustainable actions are aligned with the hospital's overall strategy and involves all stakeholders.

MISSION

The Green Europe Committee promotes environmental health by raising awareness of the ecological impact of the hospital environment and working to reduce the carbon footprint of the Europe Hospitals. The committee also aims to improve the well-being of patients and staff through sustainable and responsible practices. It monitors and evaluates initiatives each year to measure their impact and identify areas for improvement. Finally, it raises awareness and trains staff through innovative campaigns and partnerships promoting eco-management.

LABELS

Our efforts have been recognised with several long-standing distinctions:

  • Ecodynamic Enterprise label – 3 stars: Europe Hospitals is the first hospital to obtain the highest distinction.
  • Member of the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) network.
  • Réseau Nature Natagora label, for our actions in favour of biodiversity.
  • Green Labs label for our laboratory, the second certified laboratory in Europe.

These labels reinforce the credibility of our approach and encourage its continuity.
