New doctor: Dr Antoine Guilmot, Neurology
The Europe Hospitals would like to welcome Dr Antoine Guilmot, who has just joined the Neurology Department. Dr Guilmot graduated in neurology from UCL in 2022, specialising in epilepsy and neurophysiology (electroencephalography (EEG), continuous EEG monitoring and evoked potentials). He trained at the Centre for Refractory Epilepsy (CRE) at the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, the William Lennox Neurological Hospital in Ottignies and the Erasme Hospital (ULB). He also works in the neurophysiology department at the Centre Hospitalier Neurologique William-Lennox (Holter-EEG, prolonged video-EEG, Electrical Source Imaging), in collaboration with the CRE. He will be contributing to the development of neurophysiology; in particular, in setting up EEG monitoring in intensive care, which is useful for detecting epileptic seizures and non-convulsive states of seizure, and in carrying out ambulatory holter-EEGs, enabling epilepsy to be diagnosed in children and adults.
