21-27/09/2020 - Week of the Hart

As every year, the Belgian Cardiological League organised a national prevention campaign in the last week of September from 21 to 27/09/2020.  For this 41st edition of Heart Week, the theme chosen was "heart failure".  Little known, heart failure is a chronic and progressive disease which requires a complete and optimal management in order to avoid possible complications. 

For Heart Week, the cardiology department of the Europe Hospitals (St-Elisabeth and St-Michel sites) was of course involved.

8-9/05/2019 - HEART FAILURE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The Cardiology Department of the Europe Hospitals participated in the "Heart Failure Awareness Week".  The aim of this European campaign is to raise awareness of the impact of heart failure on our society. 

An information stand was set up on both sites:

  • St-Elisabeth in Uccle, on Wednesday 8 May 2019 from 10am to 3pm.
  • St-Michel in Etterbeek, on Thursday 9 May 2019 from 9.30 am to 3 pm.

On the programme: medical and dietary advice, screening for high blood pressure and obesity, a quiz on salt in food and multiple information brochures.
