Presentation of our Delivery Ward

Our delivery ward is manned by a professional team of gynaecologists, paediatricians, and psychologists, who are ready to ensure that you have a safe, pleasant delivery of your newborn baby.

The reception on the ward is carried out fluently in Dutch, French or English.

The labour ward itself presents as a pleasant, if highly technical environment. Our aim is to permit a safe natural delivery, respecting the wishes of the parents.

A gynaecologist is present on the hospital 24 hours a day.

The maternity ward is equipped with; single rooms equipped with a baby box, and double rooms.

All rooms have television, DVD player, telephone with a direct number, wireless internet access, and a bathroom with shower, toilet with intimate spray, wash basin, and hairdryer. In the single rooms your partner may stay overnight on payment of a supplement.

The medical care is adapted as much as possible to the rhythm of mother and baby. Instruction about breast feeding and other care is done on an individual basis.

If the baby needs phototherapy, in the case of jaundice it will be done in the room.

You will receive a visit from child welfare during your stay to inform you of their services.

Visiting times:

Visiting times in the Maternity Ward are from 2pm to 8pm in the double rooms. In the single rooms it is from 10am to 8pm.
After a discharge examination by the gynaecologist and paediatrician you are free to leave the Maternity Ward. This may be within several hours or days, but for administrative reasons, it is best before 2pm.
